About the Campaign

The Como Street Car Park Action Group is dedicated to preserving critical public spaces in our community.

We believe in the importance of engaging with residents and promoting awareness about the planned development's impact on everyday life.

Your Voice Matters!

Become an active participant in our campaign to save Como Street Car Park. Every effort and contribution of skill or time helps raise awareness and make a difference.

We have a WhatsApp group for local residents on the surrounding roads and a Facebook page for the wider area.

As we oppose the planning application from Havering Council/Mercury Land Holdings Ltd, we will object to all aspects of the scheme that irreparably alter the character of our residential amenity and result in total loss of privacy.

We have concerns about the finances of Havering Council, like many other residents - but selling-off core pieces of land and redeveloping sites across Romford Town will only create more problems without sufficient infrastructure to support all of these additional residents.

Let’s make it clear: Como Street Car Park should serve the community, not disappear under another block of flats.
